From Rome (FCO) Airport: Route A-1 North in direction of Florence.
Follow signage to A-1 North (Florence).
Exit A-1 at ‘Siena-Bettolle’ which is immediately after the exit ‘Montepulciano’, pay toll (apx. €9). At the 2 roundabouts take the entrance onto 'Raccordo Autostradale Siena-Bettole’ in direction of Siena.
Exit ‘Castelnuovo Berardenga’ (approximately 30 Km). (SP 484)
Follow signs, passing Castelnuovo Berardenga. (SP 484).

⚜️ LaChiusa-in-Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga — Siena
From Florence or Pisa Airport: Route A-1 (A11) in the direction of Roma.
Florence-Certosa Exit to Raccordo Autostradale ‘Siena-Firenze’ heading in the direction of Siena. Once arrived at Firenze-Certosa, exit Firenze-Certosa, pay toll.
From Florence City: Follow signs to 'Siena' and then:
At the A-1 roundabout merge onto Raccordo Autostradale ‘Siena-Firenze’ heading in the direction of Siena. Continue on the highway in the direction of Siena, distant approximately 60 Km. This is a toll-free road.
Seeing signs for Arezzo/Grosseto/Siena, continue toward Arezzo/Roma on SS223. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Arezzo/E78/Perugia/Roma and merge onto E78/SS73. (You have just gone all the way around and to the west & south of Siena and are now heading to the east of Siena). 15 minutes to go: Exit at Castelnuovo Berardenga and continue to the right at Stop Sign. Follow signs, passing Castelnuovo Berardenga. (SP 484).
⚜️At exit Castelnuovo Berardenga, only 10 minutes to go: (Stop before the town at the Carefour market to the left, after the school, for food supplies, afternoon hours are from 4-7:30PM). Continue around the village staying on the main road for approximately 7km, passing San Gusme in the direction of Villa-a-Sesta and Gaiole-in-Chianti. To your left you will find the actual borgo and clock tower of Villa-a-Sesta, a bronze horse statue on your left, a small cemetery on your right.
⚜️Continue on the road around the next curve, a short 300 meters to a white-gravel road on the right at Km marker # IV/12. *Watch for the Km markers, which are small white signs near the pavement. Turn right into driveway at Km IV/12.
⚜️While keeping the townhouse development on your right, take the upper gravel driveway all the way to the top and through the gated columns. You will see the house with the green shutters.
⚜️The Gate Code (by request). Press <ON, (CODE), OK> (separate keypad on the column), or just use the call button on the pad by the car window. Gates remain open for two minutes when coming/going. Park inside the gates, off to the side, in the lower left parking area. **Please carry your luggage from car to the walkway, as dragging/rolling only displaces the gravel.
